Intermediate Guitar

Instructor: M. Huang

Class Description

8 SPOTS LEFT!

Intermediate guitar is for students who have already mastered the basics- open chords, basic strum patterns, and scales.  We will focus on ear training, intermediate rhythm/lead guitar techniques and phrasing, playing with other guitarists/musicians, chord building, using modes and scales to create lead lines and solos, melodies and riffs, and learning how to use effects pedals.  We will also cover some basic songwriting skills to allow students to develop a deep understanding and start creating art themselves.  The expected result is that the student will be able to play with more creativity, be comfortable with learning songs by ear, and improvise with confidence.
