Beginning guitar is for students with little to no experience with guitar.  Students will learn the fundamentals of guitar playing- good playing habits, proper positioning, and techniques to maximize efficiency and avoid injury, essential open chord shapes, strum patterns, playing notes/scales/riffs, and how to read guitar tablature.  We will do so in the context of learning popular songs and enjoyable exercises to keep students motivated and progressing!  The end goal is to have students be comfortable with playing simple riffs, strumming, and learning whole songs using open chords.

13 classes running from August 11 to November 3 with a showcase on November 6 @6:00 pm 

Registration Fee & Refund Policy: A non-refundable $35 registration fee ($25 for current CAPA students) is required per student. Tuition is fully refundable minus a $25 cancellation fee after the first class, 50% refundable after the second class, and non-refundable after the third class.

Please ensure your student is eager to participate and able to commit to all scheduled classes, rehearsals, and performances. Buttons is a team effort, and every participant’s dedication contributes to the success of the production and the learning experience.
