Dive into the behind-the-scenes world of theater in this hands-on introductory course. Students will learn the essentials of production work including how to read and follow script cues, the basics of costume coordination, organizing and managing props, and the fundamentals of set design and construction. The class culminates in a practical internship on one of our live shows, offering real-world experience and the chance to be part of a fully staged production.

Dramateers Tech Week and shows: May 11-16 (two hours per day, 5 hrs for show days)
* Note for Parents: Internship hours completed as part of this course will be recorded as volunteer service, and students will receive a letter documenting their participation and hours for school transcript or community service requirements.

Objective: Students will gain foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in backstage theater elements—designing, building, and managing the visual and functional components of a stage production.

Registration Fee & Refund Policy: A non-refundable $35 registration fee is required per student. Tuition is fully refundable minus a $25 cancellation fee after the first class, 50% refundable after the second class, and non-refundable after the third class.
Please be sure your student can attend regularly—each class builds on the last, and consistent participation helps everyone learn and grow together. Regular attendance is essential for a positive and successful class experience.
